Core Cambridge help us get fit!

Core Cambridge have very kindly donated their time and expertise to assist us getting into the right physical and mental shape for this endurance event. I have been set a specific exercise and dietary regime to follow, and will be speaking to Ed at length over the next six weeks to make sure we are fully prepared.

"Core Cambridge is a centre of excellence for injury rehabilitation and the development of athletic performance.

Our unique blend of therapy, coaching and facilities can free you from injury faster than you thought possible, and can develop you physically to levels that you never thought you'd be able to achieve – whether that's improving your long-term health or competing at an international level." - Ed Hallam

Pool Marathon

On September 17th 2009, myself and a friend, Chris Marchant, are looking to break the record for the longest game of pool ever played. The current record stands at around 52hrs, and we are looking to break that by 1 hour. The event will be held within the Grafton Center in their Great Court (Bottom of the Escalators, outside BHS) for the duration of the attempt. We have two pool tables being supplied, one of which Chris and myself will be using, and the other for a "beat the pro" type competition. We have snooker Professionals Neil Robertson and Joe Perry who have agreed to attend and help us out. Chris and I also know many ex-pros from the world of 8-ball Pool.

We are currently waiting on written confirmation from the Guinness book of records regarding the attempt, and should be hearing back within the next few weeks. We are looking to raise money not only for ACT, but for the Paul Hunter foundation. With pool being seen as a predominantly male sport, we are also looking to use this event as a way for raising the profile of Prostate and Testicular cancer.

If you feel you can help us out in anyway, please drop us an e-mail on:
